We are home!

Just a short note to say that I am home. When I get some time I will post some of our pictures of our vacation. Glad to be back.

Whirl Wind Time!!

Alot has happened since the last time I wrote. So I thought that I would update you. On May 28th Taylor tried out for the Air Bound Angels. This is a cheerleader competition team in Logan. She made the team. So now we have three days a week that she has to be at the gym in Logan for practices. Then on the 31st, we left for California. We have been running ever since. We made it to California on the 1st. The next day we went to the Le Brea Tarpits. That was alot of fun. Then on Wednesday we went to the Beach. That was fun to watch the kids go into the water and play. Then an Thursday, we went to a town called Solvang. For those of you that don't know what this town is, it is a small little Danish town up in the mountains in southern California. We got to see a bunch of interesting things. Especially people. Then on Friday we were suppose to go to a Dodger Game, but it was sold out. So we ended up going to Golf n Stuff in Ventura. This was an old hang out for me when I was in my teenage years. On Friday, the older kids and Gerlad went to the Santa Barabara Zoo. Then on Monday we are going to Disneyland. Then we will play around for a day or so at the beach again. I will post picture next week of our adventures and the interesting people we saw. This was just an update of what has been going on.

Le Brea Tarpits, Dodger Game, Calico Ghost Town,OH MY! Beach, Santa Barbra Zoo, shopping, OH MY!!! Malibu, Hollywood, DisneyLand, OH MY!!! A fun filled vacation. In a couple of days we take the long road trip to California. Eight days of funfilled adventure and two days of traveling. YIPEE!!! We will have exciting times, of sunburns, chasing a two year old, looking at animals, riding rides, chasing a two year old, spending money, sleeping, lots of it, somewhere in between. We will take lots and lots of pictures to document the fun. Just a few pictures of where we will be going.....

Yard Work...Finally someone to help besides me!!!

Well husband days are getting closer to not having to mow the lawn. Our nine year old son got behind the wheel yesterday to mow his first lawn. But I don't remeber my first lawn being this easy to mow. I know that my husbands first lawn wasn't. What happen to those days of push lawn mowers. I think that all kids should learn to mow the lawn with a push lawn mower first. It is neat to see my kids grow and learn new activities and responsbilities all the time. Now if we can get him to have this much fun cleaning his room....

May...WOW!

Well there is only 18 Days left of school. Then there is summer. Wow it has gone by fast. I can't believe how fast the school year has gone. Taylor will be a sophmore, Anna will be in Junior High, and Christopher will be in 5th grade. It is amazing how fast they grow up. Oh and Devin, well he will just be in seventh heaven to have his brother and sisters home for the summer, and will wish that he could go to school with them next year.

So now is the time to start reminiscing about summer fun that you use to have when you were your kids age. I did a lot of beach going when I was Taylor's age. That was always fun to do. Or we would go up to Matilija Canyon and going swimming in the swim holes. That was always a blast. Or we would go hang out, just to hang out.

So let's give some ideas of what fun things we can do with our kids this summer to keep them busy, besides cleaning and chores. We know that they all love doing that. I want to try to do some movie night out in our back yard. I think that would be a lot of fun. We are going on a family vacation at the very beginning of summer, but after that we need some fun things to do. Besides the normal. So everyone get your thinking caps on, and lets give everyone some ideas of what to do this summer with our kids this summer.
