Result on my Dad

Well everything came out negative on cancer in the fluid they drained from my dad. He had to have another test done on Wednesday. They took some tissue out of his stomach. But so far everything is going good on my dad. We are just waiting for the last test results. They are not sure where the fluid is coming from, so they are trying to control it with meds.

Garage Sale! Garage Sale!

So we and our neighbor, Judy, decided to have a garage sale this last Saturday. It was a great day to have a garage sale. Wasn't too hot or too cold. They were having the annual medical center fair at the high school, which is just on the corner of our street.
We did pretty good as far as garage sales go. We made enough money to go out to eat and get a few things from our favorite store, Walmart.
Devin decided to be part of the garage sale.. He found this empty box and decided to play in it. It was so cute that I couldn't pass up the picture opportunity. He played in that box for about 15 minutes.

Pinewood Derby Race

So my son had his first Pinewood Derby Race this last Wednesday. He had alot of fun doing the racing. It was quite an experience doing the car though. My husband, who is a perfectionist when it comes to stuff like the race cars, was helping my osn do his car this year. My son just wanted to leave it like it was, and just put varnish on it. Not my husband. They needed to paint it. And have numbers and flames on it. So my son said cool, that would be fine. So a month later, at least 10 coates, and 7 cans of paint spray, we finally got the car done. This was, to me, the most expensive pinewood derby car. Every time my husband would paint it, the first coat would go on pretty good, then the second, then for some reason the third would start cracking the paint. It did this every time we painted the car. It was kind of funny, but my husband was getting very frustrated with the car and the paint. We finally got it done about two days before the race. Nice looking car. Very smooth. Well it would have to be with as many sandings we did to take paint off. My son got to race the car last Wednesday night. Now he didn't win any races, but he won in attitude. He had a very good attitude for the whole thing. Didn't get mad once. In fact, he happened to have two cars, because he did a car last year, but wasn't able to race it, so he let another boy, who didn't have a car, use the one from last year. Very nice of my son to do. The boys all had a good time. Not one child got mad or thru a tatrum. I have heard horror stories about these races. But ours was very nice and fun activity. We gave awards out to everyone. Bet you can't guess which one my son got. You got it, the most expensive. LOL.

Police friend or enemy....!

So my day today started out at 5:30 this morning. Me and my daughter Anna went and delivered newspapers. Then I dropped Anna off at home to get ready for work, and I went over to my work to do my grocery list and talk to the girl that was working. She is going thru a hard time right now and needed to talk. So of course I went there. Got out my car, locked the door, and then realized that my keys were still in the van. Of course, Jeanna, my girlfriend, stood there and laughed. So I preceded to call the police station to come and unlock the door for me. Yes, Preston police are still nice enough to come and unlock the doors for you. No matter what. That is how my morning started. Now here is the funny part. I left for work at 1:45, got to work to have a Policeman pull right in behind me. Guess what, they are also good at giving out tickets. All though I wasn't going as fast as he said I was. I think that police are on the mean list for me tonight. He couldn't just give me a warning, no, he had to give me a ticket. And of course, Jeanna was still at work, and was laughing. So I am glad that I could make my friend laugh today. On a more serious note. My dad went back into the hospital yesterday morning complaining of alot of pain. He has been retaining water in the lower half of his body. That can't figure out where the water is coming from. They have done a Cat Scan and everything looks good that way. They went in today and drained the water and are testing it for cancer. They think that he might have pancreatic cancer, but we won't know for sure until Monday or Tuesday. That was the only organ that they couldn't see very well in the Cat Scan. And I guess that the water retention is a sign of pancreatic cancer. Anyway, keep him in your prayers. Thank you.

New Title....

Okay, so I just had to change the title. I am always changing the background, but I haven't changed anything else. So, this time I decided to change the title. Felt that I needed a new one. I also changed my kids pictures. More up to date ones. But I am having problems getting them bigger. So if anyone has suggestions for me, let me know. So enjoy the title, cause I have a feeling this summer is going to be like that, a Wild Life....for a few months anyway.

Back to School....

Well kids are back in school. There is only 36 days left of school. Then there is summer. Yeah. I really like this time of year. My kids get to go out and play outside. They will use all that energy that they store up during the winter. It gets so cold here in Idaho, that it is hard to push them outdoors to play. They will sometimes go sledding at the neighbors house or build snow forts, but most of the time they spend inside. So now that it is getting warmer, they will be outside all day playing. All that energy will be gone. It does get busier, with Dance Competitions, and games to go cheer at, then vacations, etc. We are taking our first family vacation this year to California. We are going to visit my mother-in-law, take a trip to the Santa Barbra Zoo, go to Disneyland, cause a trip to California has have a trip to Disneyland in it. Then we are also going to go Calico Ghost Town. I haven't been there in years. I like going to the Ghost towns. They are probably more up my alley than Disneyland. LOL. That is all at the beginning of summer. Then we just relaxed. We usaully have a pool up, trampoline, all the fun summer stuff. We are also going to do some camping, hopefully, this summer. But most of all about this time of year that I like, is that it will be hot outside. Yeah. I am ready for the warmth this year. So, enjoy this time of year. Enjoy the time of spending with family and friends. And say "HI" to those neighbors that you only see when you go to church, because it is too cold during the winter time to visit outside. Enjoy, Enjoy!
