Pumpkin Walk 2010!

We went to our annual pumpkin walk this year. It is so much fun to walk around at Elk Ridge Park and see how companies, schools, and organizations decorate their pumpkins every year. We have a lot of fun going every year. We usually go with my brother, but this year we went with some friends here in Preston. These are just some of the pictures that I took of the pumpkin walk.

Catch Up!

Sorry that it has been so long since I have written on my blog. Since the last time that I have updated my blog, alot has happened.
School has started. The kids are enjoying school so far. Taylor is a Junior this year. She has already missed about 2 weeks of school, because she has MONO. Yes she still has the effects of mono. They say that it usually takes about 6 months to a year before you feel a 100%. But she is not contagious anymore.  She did go to homecoming, but missed playing in the Powder Puff game. She ended up being a water girl. She also has been very busy with Cheer. They have been doing really good. They are going this Friday to Pocatello to cheer the football team at districts.
Anna is a 7th grader. She has just been hanging out with friends and going to school. She got to start Young Womens this year. In fact, she started on her birthday. So now I have two children in YW.
Next year I will have all three of them in YWYM. Wow they grow up so fast.
Christopher is now is 6th grade, and doing very well in school. He has also started scouts. He really enjoys going to scouts, and doing all the camp outs.
Devin, well he is Devin. He has also started Pre-school. It really has been good for him. He goes twice a week for 2hrs. Tuesdays they do teaching the first hour, then they do tumbling the second hour. Thursday the teach the first hour, and then they get to go swimming. He really enjoys it. When we remember they also have a class for 45 min. on Friday to do more tumbling.
Gerald has been out deer hunting. No he hasn't caught any deer yet. I think that it is just an excuse to hang out with the guys for a week so they can play mountain men.
Me, well I haven't done anything exciting. I stay home and go to work. So you would think that I would have enough time to write in my blog. Oh well, all I can do is try to do better now. I have a lot of pictures to put on here. So when I get a chance to figure which ones I would like to put on here, I will download them on.
In the mean time have a happy Halloween.

Freak Lightning Storm!!

So last night we had a very short lightning storm! This is what it did to the neighbors tree. When that lightning hit it shook our house. We are about 5 houses away from this house. There was also a little boy that was about 10 years old. He was standing under the tree. He ended up with a concussion. And is home with his parents.

The funny things Devin says or does!

So this cute little boy of mine has been busy this week. Where to start! Sunday in nursery he decided to kiss one of the little girls. Her name is Ella. He also told her that he was going to marry her. We thought that was kind of funny.   To go on to more antics of Devin. Monday I get a call from Sassy, Anna's friend, saying that Devin was over at their house. I asked how he got there, she said that he walked. When I left the house he was across the street playing with his friend Michael. He told me that he wanted to play with Ella. So off he went. I am surprised that this three year old knew how to get there.Again with Ella. I think I might be in trouble with this little girl and Devin. He seems drawn to her. We may have to keep our eye on this budding romance. Good thing that it is all in innocence.
I love my Devin. It is never a dull moment with him.

Updates! Updates!

Not that there is a lot to update on. We have just started to get the warm summer weather. It is nice to finally have heat, and not cold.  Christopher and Anna have been practicing for the Annie Jr. play. It starts this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  Taylor started practicing for cheer three times a week, hanging out with friends, and trying to find a job. Which is really hard here in Preston. Gerald and I have just been working. Gerald goes out on the road for six days, and home for three days out in the yard. I have been working at the nursing home, and painting kids rooms, then will start on the rest of the house. My goal this summer is too try to get the house, at least inside painted. We will see what happens.
Christopher has been playing baseball. His team has done really well. They have won every game. Now they go on to a tournament this weekend. He has also been to cub scout day camp and 4H camp.
Anna went to girls camp this year. They were really nice to let her go early. She doesn't turn twelve until July. She also went to 4H camp. She really had fun at both camps.
Devin well, he is three. That should tell you what he has been up to. Playing, very hard. He does it so well.
Taylor, she has gone to girls camp, the lake( yes in the cold), hanging out with friends and boyfriend, cheer three times a week. She has her first parade this Saturday. She has been trying to find a job, not going well, and has been helping me with Devin. Even Devin has gone to the lake with Taylor and friends.
That has been our summer here lately. Oh yeah, we also have been visiting the Dr. for Taylor, Devin, and Christopher. My doctor says that if he gave frequent flyer miles I would probably have a trip to Jamaica by now. Darn. I could use that trip. Nothing serious on the kids. Taylor is just a muscle in her leg that hasn't been stretching, so she has had to go to PT to help stretch it out and learn the exercises to help her. Devin, he has eczema, and Christopher is just for check ups.
So that is it so far in the life of the Barnes family. When I get pictures on my computer, of rooms, etc. I will post them.
